Oak Park Toyota Prius Dealers Equipped to Face Fierce Competition
Despite the more and more automakers that are jumping on the eco-friendly bandwagon, Toyota is one automaker that need not fret. More often than not, Toyota is the name that comes to mind when talking about hybrid cars. The company's Prius is one of the most popular hybrids in the world and achieves the best fuel economy out of any other hybrid on the road. Toyota's success with their hybrid lineup has even compelled other automakers including Nissan to rely on Toyota for hybrid technology. Suffice to say, Toyota has reason to remain confident among the continuously growing hybrid competition.
The Prius arrived at Chicago Toyota dealerships over a decade ago and was an immediate success despite the fact that the Prius meant covering unchartered territory. When hybrid technology was first introduced at your Oak Park Toyota Prius dealer, it was certainly awe inspiring. But it was also questionable whether the Prius's technology would allow it to perform up to Toyota standards and allow it to last as long as non-hybrid Toyotas.
The hybrid's fuel economy, performance and styling proved to be an instant hit at your Oak Park Toyota Prius dealership, but it was more difficult to determine the car's longevity right away. Fast forward to today and over ten years of Prius sales and the car has lived up to Toyota standards becoming one of the most reliable hybrids on the market. Automotive professionals at Consumer Reports evaluated the longevity of the Prius by testing a 2002 model with over 200,000 miles on it. The tests found that the used 2002 model delivered the same exceptional fuel economy and retained its powerful battery performance.
The wildly successful Prius compelled Toyota to expand their hybrid lineup with cars including the Camry and Highlander hybrids. Also in the works is an all new 2012 hybrid RAV4. The popular car was one of the first crossovers ever introduced when it debuted at your Chicago RAV4 dealer in 1996. Offering the utility of a truck and the agility of a sedan, the RAV4 has been a favorite among consumers and will only get better with Toyota's hybrid technology.
In addition to fuel efficiency, power, styling and reliability, affordability is also a contributor to the success of Toyota's hybrid lineup. The Prius is under $21,000 making it one of the most affordable cars in its class. Figures have not yet been release for the RAV4 hybrid, but Chicago residents can expect it to wear a similar price tag when it arrives at their Chicago RAV4 dealer next year.
