Good Used Cars Compared To Bad Ones

When it's time to think about replacing your vehicle,  A ConsumerReports.org survey showed 27% of people bought used cars instead of new ones. Also in that particular survey, the report showed that hundreds of different used vehicle models showed good fuel efficiency, and very safe and reliable to drive. Most automotive industry people suggest buying used vehicles because when buying a new vehicle, you're automatically hit with a depreciating value the minute it leaves the dealerships car lot.

Best example of this is when looking at a Lexus RX suv, this suv would be around $40,000 dollars new. If you were to pick one up used, say 6 to 7 years old, you would pay anywhere from $12,000 to $15,000 dollars, this is a very safe and reliable vehicle. The Lexus is a great vehicle and equipped with more than some of the new vehicles that are on the market today. I would suggest going to ConsumerReports.org's website and look at the report, they have data on vehicles from 1998 to 2007. The report lists the best from the worst, so it helps in choosing the right car or truck to buy. Below I'll mention a few of the best and worst from ConsumersReport.org study.
