2011 Nissan Maxima Review
Nissan Maxima shares its platform with second generation Nissan Murano and Nissan Altima. Current Nissan Maxima is design with broader dimension with sleek styling. Latest model of Nissan Maxima competes with Acura TSX, Volkswagen CC, Hyundai Genesis and Acura TL. National base price of 2011 Nissan Maxima is around $ 30, 810 which excludes destination charges.
Trim Levels:
2011 Nissan Maxima is a mid size luxury sedan available in two trim levels which include Nissan Maxima S and Nissan Maxima SV.
Base model Nissan Maxima S is offered with automatic headlamps, 18 inch alloy wheels, cruise control, keyless entry and ignition, sunroof, tilt and telescopic steering column, dual zone automatic climate control and eight way driver and four way power adjustable seats. Nissan Maxima S trim is also offered with some standard accessories like Bluetooth connectivity, trip computer, audio controls mounted on steering wheel, cloth upholstery, six in dash CD chargers, split foldable rear seats and AUX-IN audio jack.
Nissan Maxima SV trim is added with fog lamps, exterior rear view mirrors mounted with turn indicators, leather upholstery, driver seat with manual thigh support, Bose stereo system with nine speakers and satellite radio and power lumbar support.
Nissan Maxima SV trim can also be installed with either Premium or Sports Package. Both Premium and Sport package includes xenon head lights, shift paddle mounted on steering wheel, heated front seats, auto dimming exterior rear view mirrors, driver seat with memory function, tilt and telescopic steering column, upgraded leather upholstery, heated steering wheel, center trunk pass through, split rear seats and rear bucket seat.
Premium Package is added with ventilated front seats, dual panel sunroof, power rear sunshade, 7 inch LCD screen, rear seat mounted with audio controls, 2 GB of digital music storage and wood trim. Sports package is added with 19 inch wheels, sports tuned suspension system, smoked headlights, rear spoiler, grey metallic stitching accents, metallic interior look and dark chrome grille. Along with these two packages Nissan Maxima is also offered with Technology, Cold and Monitor package.
Monitor Package include 2 GB of digital audio storage, color monitor, USB port, AUX-IN pin and rear view camera. Cold Package is includes heated steering wheel, heated front seats and heated outside mirrors. Technology package is added with 7 inch LCD screen with DVD and CD compatibility, navigation system with voice activation and real time traffic updates and 9.3 GB of music storage.
Engine and Performance:
2011 Nissan Maxima is armored with 3.5 L capacity V6 engine. This power train is mated with Continuous Variable Transmission and six gear transmission with shift paddles mounted on steering wheel (available only with SV trim). Under test conditions Nissan Maxima reached 60 KMPH mark within 6.5 seconds.
